Behold Unused The Dark Knight Rises Posters

Three posters have surfaced that were created to publicise The Dark Knight Rises but never used.

The images were unveiled by Trailer Park, alongside several other posters that were selected to form the basis of the marketing campaign.

They look pretty different from the ones that were eventually released; two of them consist of moody greyscale shots of Batman and Bane respectively, while the final one hints at a viral marketing tactic based on Bane's mask that was considered.

You can check out the posters below.

First Look at Dr. Lecter from NBC's Hannibal!

The first images of actor Mads Mikkelsen (Casino Royale) as the iconic/sadistic Dr. Hannibal Lecter are now online, over at EW.com. So head over to the gallery to check out eight new photos from Bryan Fuller's (Pushing Daisies) new NBC series, Hannibal, based on the famous characters from Thomas Harris' novels Red Dragon and The Silence of the Lambs.

In the photos you'll see Fuller, along with Hugh Dancy as Agent Will Graham (played by Edward Norton in Red Dragon and William Peterson in Manhunter) and Laurence Fishburne as Jack Crawford (portrayed by a handful of actors including Harvey Keitel and Scott Glenn). Hannibal revolves around the partnership formed between Graham and Lecter; solving serial murder cases together while Lecter's own proclivity for, ahem, eating human flesh remains a secret.

Here's an image of Mikkelsen as Lecter...

The Hobbit: First Look at Thranduil and The Great Goblin

More publicity images and concept art for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, the first installment in the trilogy, have found their way online.

Both io9 and Gamma Squad point out the image below of Pushing Daisies actor Lee Pace as the Elvenking Thranduil, father of Legolas, taken from upcoming promotional material.

Meanwhile, TheOneRing.net (via Heirs of Durin) point out this Facebook page for a French Hobbit fan site that posted images of what they believe to be the Great Goblin, aka Goblin King, played by Barry Humphries in the Hobbit movies.

This screen grab from a past Hobbit video blog entry could show an actor being prepped for their Goblin role, a creation that will be fleshed out later via CGI:

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey opens December 14.

Is this the Next Flagship Nokia Phone?

Two images of Nokia's Lumia 920 have surfaced today, featuring a touch interface with 3 soft buttons, what appears to be a PureView camera, and (allegedly) a 4.5 inch screen.

While the image is pretty clearly computer-generated, it's not unlikely what we're seeing is an incomplete press rendering. In other words; this probably is the Lumia 920.

A leaked image of the 4.3-inch Lumia 820, showing more of Nokia's bright colors, appears below.

Nokia will announce its Windows Phone 8 offerings at a press event with Microsoft in New York on September 5th. We'll have more details for you as they come out.

Stoked for Nokia's upcoming Windows Phones? Let us know in the comments.

Alleged Heavenly Sword 2 Concept Art Leaks

Concept art for what was supposedly planned to be Heavenly Sword 2 has leaked online showing off Nariko in what appears to be a desert setting.

A series of nine images appeared on AllGamesBeta purporting to be from a planned sequel to the 2007 hack and slash adventure that never materialised.

Though they haven't been confirmed, the art style seems pretty similar to the supporting artwork that we saw before the original title was released. A sequel to Heavenly Sword has been talked about for years; the game was originally planned as being the first in a trilogy, but since Ninja Theory has recently focused on multi-platform development, it seems increasingly unlikely that a follow-up to the PS3 exclusive will happen.

Ninja Theory is currently working on the Devil May Cry reboot, DmC, which is due out on January 15, 2013. They previously worked on Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, the art style of which was very clearly inspired by Heavenly Sword.

You can check out some of the leaked concept art below, or head over to AGB for more.
